Hey there how you doin'....
Looking for tips, advice.... general help and smart assed comments.
Just got rid of the last of my R/C planes stuff (flew on and off for
thirty years or so) and am trying to make the jump to cars.
I stopped by the Columbus Hobby Town USA track last weekend, there
were a few guys running some nitro REVO type stuff.. looking to start
out a bit smaller.
I have recently received a Losi Mini-monster Baja as a gift (just add
batteries and cash... I have now officially broken EVERYTHING.) are
there any mini or 1/10th guys/gals around the Columbus area that would
be willing to share the knowledge?

'priciate the help and stuff

I feel your pain the Losi Mini trucks SUCK. I have the Mini-LST and it
had many many faults front to back.

Im not totally up-to-speed on current mini's but in the past week have
regained interest (lost interest due to the horrible m-lst) and reviewed
my back issues of RCCA.

Im going to address NITRO

OFNA looks to have a nice mini NITRO TRUGGY but it costs a bit. Its in
the same price range as a very good 1/10 MONSTER TRUCK Associated
Electronics MGT 3.0 oh $330 or so Im favoring the MGT right now. Ive
owned a number of AE vehicles all have been excellent.

CEN RACING has MG16 in the $200 spot but I have not read up on the
good/bad points to it yet. They also have a 1/10 4wd nitro MT in the
$220 range that scoots like 40mph. Lately have been hearing good things
overall about them . I saw them demo at a hobby show and the BIG trucks
took quite a few hard hits with no harm. How that translates to their
mini stuff I dont know.
If my HobbyTown stocked Cen products I wouldnt mind trying one out.

I read up on SPORTWERKS CHAOS a mini but it seems to have gear issues, I
want no part of that again.

There are other less know brands out there that seem interesting but
getting parts say a year, two years from now could be difficult. I keep
my vehicles a while so this is important to me.

My little Losi breaks a lot of parts, but for the price and the radio/
battery/performance combo I cant really complain. O.hh.. Every
breakage has happened on some super sticky asphalt with mine.. no
issues off-road The Losi folks have been VERY responsive to my newbie
emails with regard to "Dude.... I need to upgrade this thing-a-ma-
jiggey" and so forth. I like to tweak stuff and am really enjoying
mine... Parts are cheap. At 1/18th it's just a gateway drug to the
heavy stuff.... Anyone driven the E-Revo yet??

'Preciate the responses.
