The low speed needle is probably set too rich. This will let the engine
load up with fuel and when you give it gas, it will die. While it is
idling, pinch off the fuel line, it will probably speed up for a few seconds
before it dies. Turn the idle mixture screw in (clockwise) a little at a
time until pinching off the line only slightly speeds up the engine and it
dies right away. Once you pinch the line off, the engine is running off of
fuel built up in the engine. If it runs very long after the line is pinched
off, it means there is too much fuel in the engine and it floods it out and
cools the glow plug as soon as you give it gas. That causes it to die when
you give it gas and die when you remove the glow igniter. Sometimes this
can happen with bad fuel or glow plug, but most likely idling too rich.
