I would like to build an accurate 1/6th scale radio control Halo
Warthog. What I need are the exact dimensions of the Warthog. First of
all, is there any way I can extract the actual 3D model of the warthog
from the Halo 1 game for the PC? Or is it available for download
somewhere? Are there any accurate 2D drawings of the Warthog from the
top, side, and front views? I would like to make all the different
body panels exactly the right sizes and proportions so that it looks
perfectly accurate. Lastly, what would be a really good 1/6th scale
match for the Warthog's wheels & tires?

It's been done:

Looks like they got the chassis from here:

Then lowered the suspension and swapped out the tires.

That's pretty good but it's not 1/6th scale. I want to be able to put
a 12" Master Chief in it and a couple of 12" space marines.

It looks to me like they got the body from the old Warthog action
figure vehicle that came with some figures.

I managed to get the actual 3D model of the Warthog ripped directly
from the game and I loaded it up into 3D Studio Max. Now I'm working
on figuring out out exactly how I'm gonna take all the panels from the
body and print them out to the correct scale so I can trace them onto
a thin cardboard and build the body. Once I have that built and
perfected, I can take it apart and trace it onto a thick cardboard or
balsa wood or bass wood and then build a sturdy body. Then I can add a
radio control chassis to it. There will be a 12" Master Chief released
this fall, so I can put that in the Warthog. I guess I could improvise
the space marines from 12" G.I. Joes.
